Operations takes care of all production related activities within the battery cell production. Our responsibilities vary from planning, constructing and rolling out the forthcoming battery cell factories. Furthermore, planning and implementing operating functions such as logistics, quality, production and plant management is also key elements within the area of operations.

  
 
Funciones y Responsabilidades

As a Mechanical Engineer in the Quality Laboratory, you will directly report to the Head of the Laboratory. Your role will be crucial for executing mechanical and dimensional analyses while developing and refining testing methods. You will be actively involved in the planning, construction, ramp-up, and execution of test equipment. Additionally, your responsibility will include analyzing and summarizing test results to assist the Head of the Laboratory in decision-making processes, ensuring the seamless operation of related activities. You will collaborate with the PowerCo Global Laboratory Network and experts from ZellCo Salzgitter, PowerCo HQ Salzgitter, and PowerCo Canada to continuously advance standards and processes in alignment with the Standard Factory concept.

  
 
Requisitos
  1. Quality Control Testing:
       - Perform routine and non-routine mechanical and dimensional analyses on raw materials,  
         in-process materials, and finished products to verify adherence to quality specifications.
       - Develop and validate various testing methods and procedures.
  2.  Data Analysis:
       - Analyze test data thoroughly and produce detailed reports on product quality.
       - Implement statistical tools to assess product consistency and performance.
  3. Troubleshooting:
       - Identify quality issues and investigate root causes to execute effective corrective actions.
       - Work closely with production and engineering teams to address quality challenges.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
       - Engage in quality improvement projects to enhance both product quality and laboratory  
         efficiency.
       - Stay current with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and quality 
         assurance.
       - Promote knowledge transfer within PowerCo Valencia and encourage resource sharing across the PowerCo Group.
  5. Equipment Maintenance:
       - Supervise the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure precise testing results. and Assist in obtaining necessary laboratory supplies and equipment.
  6. Training:
       - Offer training and guidance to laboratory staff on testing processes and quality standards.
  
 
Qué más puedes aportar
  • Master’s degree or higher in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of electrochemistry and a thorough understanding of automotive batteries.
  • Familiarity with analytical instruments and their principles (CMM, OMM, Digital Microscope, Cutting and Polishing Machine, etc.).
  • Strong laboratory acumen with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analysis laboratory.
  • Language: Fluency in English
  • Proficient in MS Office
