Facility Permitting Expert (all genders)

We proudly announce the progression of our state-of-the-art cell manufacturing project in Valencia. At this significant phase, the Facility Permitting Expert will play an integral role within our Facility Construction team at PowerCo Spain. This position is key in managing and navigating the complexities of the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local regulations and facilitating smooth facility operations.

As a Facility Permitting Expert at PowerCo Spain, you will:

• Implement, comply with, and independently develop local facility standards for permitting to ensure all construction activities are legally compliant.
• Manage the entire process of obtaining construction licenses and other necessary facility permits, including modifications, site tests, and documentation collection, on behalf of the client.
• Coordinate various contractors to achieve a unified end-of-construction permit.
• Lead and direct external consultants involved in the permitting process, including designers, technical directors, third-party inspectors, and contractors.
• Demonstrate expertise in the permitting processes for construction and commissioning within Spain, with a specific focus on regulations pertaining to fire protection, chemical storage, and other relevant areas.
• Conduct direct communications and meetings with authorities to represent the client effectively.
• Review and oversee the official projects and notifications prepared by consultants to ensure they are correctly issued.
• Evaluate and locally monitor the impact of project changes on permits and ensure compliance with requested modifications.
• Ensure the full implementation of site measures included in the licenses and permits granted.

• A university degree in Engineering or Architecture.
• At least 10 years of experience in facility permitting, with a strong background in managing complex permitting processes within Spain.
• Profound knowledge of local construction regulations and specific requirements for fire protection, chemical storage, and similar areas.
• Exceptional ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and consultants.
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in handling official interactions with regulatory authorities.
• Proven track record of successfully obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for large-scale construction projects.

• Additional certifications in regulatory compliance or project management.
• Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing facility construction, particularly in settings involving stringent regulatory oversight.
