Expert Supplier Management of battery cell raw & active material (all genders)

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The Purchasing unit is the interface to the supplier market and is thus responsible for a large part of the value creation. The responsibilities range from raw material purchasing to supplier management and plant purchasing to value engineering.

  
 
How you will CELLebrate
  • Monitor, Steer and Ensure the Supplier Management process (gate process) for defined battery cell raw materials, chemistry or active materials
  • Monitor specific Industrialization milestones under initiation of correction measurements in case of deviation. Focus on Tracking of infrastructure measurements, planning and realization of equipment, commissioning & OEE tracking, staff ramp up and review of the sub supplier management
  • Steer and execute industrialization concept reviews and plausibility checks of supplier timelines. Asses robustness and feasibility of project timelines 
  • Monitor all Industrialization aspects by supplier, e.g. Infrastructure, Equipment, level of automatization, workforce planning, value chain structure etc. 
  • Lead and monitor the Supplier Audits to evaluate supplier capability (Q-Audit, POT, QTR) resulting in a Q-Rating as a basis for supplier nomination
  • Secure the evaluation and release of the production process of the supplier using the proof of serial production capability
  • Support at ad hoc operations at supplier site securing the capacity needs
  • Implementation of the PowerCo procurement strategy within the framework of a target system and support in the implementation of the programs and methods
     
  
 
What you need for our CELLebration
  • Completed technical/university studies in the field of chemistry, process engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, geology, mining engineering  or similar
  • Relevant experience in the field of manufacturing processes in chemical industry, mining & refining for raw materials in the battery industry and/or automotive sector
  • Experience in the field of auditing and qualification of industrial products and processes
  • Relevant experience in trouble-shooting in the event of disruptions in the industrial production process
  • Business English
  
 
What else can you bring
  • Experience in the field of quality assurance in the chemical and/or automotive sector
  • Training as an auditor (VDA 6.3 and/or IATF16949) and/or automotive sector
  • Professional experience in the field of battery cell production or associated supplier area
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Business German
